Below are the times for the tryouts. The tryouts are being held at Edmonds Woodway High School Softball field.
The address is 7600 212th St SW, Edmonds, WA 98026.
The Softball field is at the Northwest corner of the school grounds. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your time listed below so the kids can get signed in and start warming up.
The sign in table will be at the left field entrance, all the way at the end of the field in the outfield. Kids will receive their tryout number as shown below.
Things to bring to the are::
Signed copy of the Majors Try Out Agreement. Try Out Agreement
Baseball glove
Baseball helmet
Boys should wear a protective cup
Baseball bat (the league will have a couple of bats available if needed)
Weather appropriate clothing (feel free to wear baseball pants, cleats, etc., but that is not required)
Tryouts will consist of the players going through several drills in a group. These drills include batting off a pitching machine, catching pop flys, fielding ground balls, running the bases, and pitching. Each drill will take approximately 5 minutes and each group will be done in about 25 minutes. Parents are welcome to stay and observe the tryout from the bleachers. Please be positive and provide support for your player as we know tryouts can be stressful. We will stress to the kids before their tryout time about having fun.
Tryouts are mandatory to play Majors. We are also conducting our tryouts right before Softball starts their tryouts, so please be on time and ready.
