In the 4th game vs. District 13 (Columbia LL) on Sunday, July 20th at Laconner HS. Pacific lost a close game 5-4, finishing the State Junior LL Baseball Tournament 2 and 2 and in 7th place. Comments were heard during the State Tournament about the high level of sportsmanship shown! Well done gentlemen!!

The Pacific Juniors All Star team wins again!  It was a tough battle against District 7 today (Saturday, July 19th) from Rainier Little League.  The Pacific Jr's were down 4-2 going to the bottom of the 4th when Dustin Diemond led off with a double.  Robert Spani came up and hit a blast over the right fielder"s head scoring Dustin and Robert to 3rd.  Justin Jolly followed up with a nice RBI getting Robert in and the score was tied 4-4.  The momentum had turned in our favor finally.  The Juniors kept on coming in the 6th with 3 more runs to put it away 7-4 today.  Awesome team contributions by all including a 4-4 with 3 RBI's today by Taylor England!  Solid pitching by Tanner Davenport, Wyatt Murphy and then a game closure by Chris Erickson.  The entire team once again came together and brought home a win in the most exciting game so far.  Next game is Sunday, July 20th at 3pm at La Conner High School vs Columbia LL of District 13.  Come out and cheer the boys on!

The Junior's (District 1 on the bracket) first State game resulted in a 5-2 victory over South Whidbey (District 11) on Tuesday, July 15th at Skagit Valley Dream Field in Mt. Vernon (2405 E. College Way)!

Junior Baseball 2008 District Tournament Information:

Game 5 (First Championship Game) Wednesday, July 9th at North Snohomish

The Juniors, led by the pitching of Chris Erickson and the hitting of Chris and Dylan Pratt, crushed Mill Creek 16-2 in 6 innings!

Chris scattered 7 hits with no walks and struck out 6, not allowing any runs past the 2nd inning.  He also was 3 for 3 at the plate including two 2 RBI doubles and scored 4 runs. Dylan had a Grand Slam in the 3rd to boost the team to a 6-2 lead in the 3rd inning. Dylan totaled 5 RBI for the game. In all the Juniors collected 14 hits and 8 walks. This was Mill Creek's 7th game of the tourney and showed that their pitching was quite thin and tired. They had several well-connected hits and were a pretty good team, too.

Every single one of the 13 on the roster contributed in many ways; making good solid defensive playes, drawing walks, being aggressive on the bases, getting timely hits, encouraging each other, hustling, throwing strikes.......

The Juniors first State game will be next Tuesday, July 15th at 8 PM at Skagit Valley Dream Field in Mt. Vernon (2405 E. College Way) vs. District 11 (host District).

First Game Summary:

Pacific  18
North Everett 4

The Juniors All Stars faced North Everett in the first round of the tournament.  Chris Erickson took the mound and pitched a complete five inning game allowing only four runs.  Pacific not only had outstanding pitching but their defense was amazing.  The offense was unstoppable as every player contributed with at least one hit.  Highlighted were Tanner Davenport and Dylan Pratt hitting ground rule doubles to drive in runs.  The team looked great and unbeatable.

Second Game Summary:

Pacific 15
Lake Stevens 1

Pacific keeps winning!  Tom Morris took the mound and struck out numerous batters on his way to a two hit complete five inning game.  Once again the defense was fantastic not allowing Lake Stevens on the bases.  The offense just continues to the pound the ball with everyone contributing with base hits or base on balls to drive the runs in.  The team is playing well together and looking great in all areas of offense and defense.

Third Game Summary:

Pacific 11
Mill Creek 1

Pacific pounds out another win!  Chris Erickson was back on the mound tonight and pitched another five inning complete game.  The defense of this team seems to be unstoppable there are few balls that make the outfield and the errors are few and far between.  The bats continuing to keep hitting inning after inning driving in run after run.  This is is a great team effort on every player's part and the team just keeps on winning!
